My friends, I have to take a break. I hate to leave you hanging just as we leave Earth, but I've burned up my buffer and the holidays are upon us. I need a few weeks to get my ducks together. I believe it'll be worth the wait for everyone. Until then: fair winds, dry powder, and happy holidays!

Yep. The age of exploration came early, thanks to medieval airships (alchemically lifted, very dangerous and inefficient). New Byzantium started out as a colony in the New World, later pioneered æther travel, expanded explosively, and proceeded to counter-colonize most of the northern hemisphere.

Those alchemists don't get as much credit as they deserve.
